Your First Visit to Our Galloway Practice

PeggeMeet Pegge, the front desk receptionist! First visit appointments are usually given extra time for you to be able to fill out a case history, have your insurance information copied, and any tests or diagnostic studies that you have had done prior to your appointment will be reviewed and copied. If you are on several different medications, it is good to bring a list that we can copy.

Expect to be in the office for a total time for the first visit of 45 minutes to an hour. We will also want to know who your other doctors are, and what kind of treatment you have already had. If you have had any surgeries, we will need to know that as well.

The doctor will be asking you about your primary health complaint, and the history of it. He will also want to know if you have had other major health issues, and whether you have had prior chiropractic care, and your response to it. He will examine your spine, and will be checking your ranges of motion, your reflexes, and any other specific orthopedic tests for your condition. He then may order x-rays for you. Depending on your case, you may be getting adjusted on your first visit.  If you are seeking acupuncture, the doctor will walk you thru the treatment process and will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

On conclusion of your visit, Pegge will take your co-pay, or if you are a cash patient, your first visit payment.  Your second visit will be scheduled at this time also.
